Dusq comes to us from the Netherlands and they take care into choosing where and how the materials they use are made. 

Their cotton blend consists of 60% GOTS* certified organic cotton, 29% hemp and 11% recycled polyester. This strong material is perfect for lining for our bags, while being soft enough for your child’s delicate skin. The fabric supplier is not only GOTS certified but also Oekotex Standard 100* certified.

Conventional cotton growing creates more toxins in our oceans than any other crop. For this reason alone, choosing organic cotton makes sense. The organic cotton from our supplier HempFortex in China is grown using no harmful chemicals or pesticides and helps to keep our oceans clean. It eliminates the allergens found in conventionally grown cotton and is woven into a soft and high-quality fabric without the negative ecological footprint. In addition, organic crops are grown from non-genetically modified seeds and most of the world’s production is watered instead of using irrigation, which significantly reduces water consumption.
